I'm a 35 year old mum to a 1 year old and have been struggling badly with the Rheumatoid since i was 3 months pregnant. I have no-one to talk to about how difficult it is for me on a day to day basis and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the Dorset area in the same situation as me, who would like to meet up for coffee??

Thank you everyone for your messages :). It's so lovely to hear from people that are going through the same things as me!!. You can feel so alone sometimes dealing with the constant pain and tiredness. I have a brilliant partner who has had to support me and my young son but I'm finding some friends and family just don't understand the illness and think that on my bad days I'm just being lazy and can't be bothered to take care of my son!!!.... Which is so upsetting as I've had to watch people help me with son since he was born, holding him when I couldn't, feeding him, changing his nappies ect.. No mother wants to watch other people take care of her new born baby!!! I couldn't even lift him onto myself to be breastfeed and had to get other people to do it!! Oh god... I started to rant then... Sorry :) I'm hoping to start to feel better soon, as Yesterday I started Embryal(Not sure of correct spelling), which I've heard works brilliantly wih some people. So fingers crossed things start to get easier soon. Thanks All for listening x x x

Don't worry about ranting jolene that's what the forum is for it has helped me greatly since my diagnosis and like you I felt that apart from my husband no one knows how we are affected and I fear they sometimes think I'm just being lazy!!! I wish. I'm glad you have started enbrel I was on this and also humira as well as the usual dmard s but due to a lot of side effects have been taken off all. Keep us posted and I hope the enbrel works soon.

hi ladies rant all you want its so nice again talking to others about how hard it is as a person as well as looking after children, the school run when you can hardly move your arm ect. i too found it difficult when i needed someone to just hold lucus for my arm to relax, it made me feel like a bad mother for a while until i delt with it and understood why it was this bad, i still feel bad that i can't do things like walk around a farm which he misses out on ect.. well good luck to you all, any questions just ask, i'm trying for another baby as we speck and been of meds since last march which is the biggist srtuggle at the moment for me but its what i want so well see x x
