Hi all I have been sufferig quite badly with water retention in my legs recently, I am on prednisolone, co codamol and cimzia and just wandered if anyone else has suffered with the same thing. I know it sounds awful but i really cant face going to my gp with it at the momentas i know they will just say its a side effect of my meds and to talk to my consultant about it!

hi Kim it sort of goes a bit with RA anyway , bad mobility & not getting around dont help + the steriods cause it as well , one thing I found helps is a V3 Circulation Booster , its good for treating pain in my ankles as well . I get pitted Oedema in both legs/ankles & leg ulcer , your GP can help with drugs if you need it

Hi Kim, I get it because of the steroids. It will go when you stop them. However, you should get it checked out in case there is another cause as it can indicate there is something else going on. I know what you mean about going back to the GP!

Hi BSK I think you are right and probably is the steroids, just find it strange as have been on them for a good few years now and only just started to get the water retention! Knwoing my lucj I will probably have to take more meds to counter effect the other meds I am taking!

Hi Kim, I've only just started getting it in my feet. I was horrified to see my normally skinny long feet look like two bloated slugs lol! You should check it out with your gp just to be sure though. x
