Subject: Heartburn

Hi just wondering if anyone is on sulfadiazine and amitriptyline and citalopram and suffers with heartburn I will be mentioning to gp I am a little overweight but attend gym my diet is crap to be fair but I do try to eat heathy just wondered could it be my meds

Hi Laura, if you go to your GP there are a one a day capsule the name escapes me right now that he/she can precribe to protect your stomach and ward off heartburn and indegistion. Hope this helps. Take care.

I am on sulphasalazine and i do get bad indigestion at time although not usually heartburn and i was told by the nurse that they cause wind lol. A good diet does help.

Ranatadin is a once daily tablet I take with Sulfasalazine and Methotrexate to protect tummies.

Thanks everyone I will mention to gp I'm relived I'm not the only with these meds I m trying to change my diet but will mention to gp gaviscon double action tablets are miricle workers :) I having hydrotherapy it's great but it does make u ache but worth it

hi Laura , been on omeprazole for years because of what MTX & Sulfa side effects , go to your GP & get some
