Subject: I am in constant pain
I am a sufferer of arthritis/oseoarthritis. My whole daily living revolves around my knees and ankles hurting constantly, when walking only. When I sleep it's great they don't hurt until I turn in bed. Going up and down stairs is painful. When I get to my feet after sitting for a period of time, they are so painful until the blood starts to circulate. Is there any help for me?

Hi Carol, what medication are you on? Maybe you should contact your rheumatologist or nurse to get an appointment asap to discuss your meds. My ra is quite well controlled, but I am on several medications. Once they sort out your medication you should find life much easier.

Hi Carol, have you seen anyone apart from your GP about your OA? Also, there are pain management courses & expert patient courses for people in pain. Might be worth talking to your gp about that. Also, whether you are able to be considered for knee replacement. I gather when your knees are bad it affects your ankles as well.
