Subject: shoes

Hello everyone, I hope all are doing ok. Do any of the ladies get special shoes, I know I need to but am reluctant to as they look so unfashionable. I have seen cosy feet on tv. Has anyone tried these or similar. I'd be pleased to hear your comments. I wear flats already, but it's challenging to find any that are comfy but don't look too bad.

Hi Emm,
I know what you mean, I have never had special shoe's but must wear flat not to flat shoe's and they must have arch support you would not believe how much difference even a centimetre can make and have bought more shoe's than enought and they must be lightweight as well if they are not right they make my knee's + feet really painful.

So it has been quite a job to get shoe's I can't even wear some trainer's and have noticed that when you do buy shoe's you can wear them for a short time and then they are not any good.

At the moment I am wearing hotter shoe's two Pair's one loafer and one a t bar style shoe not the most fashionable but I think the best is a retro style trainer and scholl boot's there ok so it is really difficult to find nice shoe's.

If you do could you let me know what work's for you.

Hope this has helped a bit.

Good luck and take care Deborah.

Hi Emm, shoes are a real problem. Always been told to wear walking shoes by foot people but they aren't exactly pretty so I don't. I live in trainers and birkenstocks in the summer and boots in the winter. That's pretty much it. Clarks do some ok shoes which are quite sturdy. Unfortunately, I have big feet so everything looks like boats on me.

Hi Emm, I have the same problem and mostly wear trainers. I usually wear black trainers as i wear a lot of dark trousers. I have a couple of pairs of shoes with small heels that i got from clarks a while ago that i sometimes wear if i'm going out somewhere special but i have to be in the car and right into wherever i'm going but i couldn't walk about in them. I went into a shoe shop today looking for stylish shoes or boots that were comfortable but couldn't see a thing, i usually find that the toes are too narrow. You would think someone could design a shoe that looked pretty and was comfortable to wear.

Hi girls, we all sound in the same boat! The things you all mention are what I am experiencing and have tried over the years. I have sent a lot of expensive, hardly worn shoes to charity shops over the years. I can't afford to do it anymore.
I've now got to the point where I need some, but don't want to go looking cause as one of you said they can seem fine for a while but aren't really! By then it's too late to take them back!

If you like the style, Clarks do a very comfortable brogue shoe, not too narrow toe and it comes in wider sizes. Looks good on.

HI. I am glad that I am not on my own on the shoe department....I was begining to get a complex about it.......I have shoes in my cupboard that haven't seen the light of day for donkey's years.....I have a lovely pair of heeled shoes ( stillettos ). and I cannot wear them........I put them on, stand up, AND.........FALL OVER.........I wouldn't mind to make things worse if the painkillers wear off. I stagger slightly and look like I am drunk..........I WISH.......can you imagine putting the heels as well........hahahahahahahahahaha..say no more fun while it lasted Hmmm

I have a big problem with shoes, especially now i have to fit insoles into them. I also have bunions. I now get my boots and sandals from fashion world. They do wide fitting and flexible soles. They are also fashionable. My feet have reached a point where i have specific requirements when it comes to footwear.

I'm a bit more careful now when it comes to buying shoes. Like others i have a cupboard full of shoes i have bought and can.t wear.
