Hi Phil

I'm 40 and I've had RA for 6 years. Symptoms were pretty much under control until the last year. Am about to try methotrexate as I think sulfasalazine has stopped doing any good. I know what you mean about the kettle and the socks. I find it difficult to tip the water out of pans when cooking veg and I also have a lot of trouble getting the tops off jars and bottles. I sometimes have to grip the top with a rubber glove to get enough purchase to turn it. I also have pains in wrists and shoulders which makes it hard to do anything which requires physical strength. Anyway, I just thought I'd say hello.

Hi,

There are quite a few inexpensive gadgets around to help unscrew jars etc. that may be of help. I have also purchased some 'chip pan' baskets that I use inside my saucepans, much easier way to lift veg out leaving the water behind.
