I know what you mean about sore feet Lorraine, at times i can barely put my feet on the floor. I had an injection into my knee two weeks ago which has helped the knee but then it seemed to move to my feet. I went for reflexology last week and it made my feet even worse. Sometimes i feel like throwing the MTX away and having a good drink, you can have a couple of glasses a wine without any problem, a few units a week i acceptable. Hope your feet ease soon. x

I am taking hydroxychloraquine and prednisolone. I do like a drink, in moderation.

I was told the next class of drugs would be immusuppressants. I think i can live with the pain in my knees but not the pain in my feet.

I agree Linda, i think when your feet are sore you are all sore.

Do you have R/A? most people are given methetroxate and then anti-tnf therapy.

You should perhaps speak to them about something else as it is not nice having sore feet. I would love to be able to wear some nice heels instead of trainers.

Take care x

Easy answer to that your hubby understands and loves you. Maybe you could try coming on here to rant and let off steam. We all understand exactly where you are coming from. We are all here to listen and help/advise. Lorraine I wish you all the best and remember you can shout all you like on here LOL XX

It is upsetting Lorraine, i often get upset about it but i keep hoping i will get some new medication that will work and make me walk normally and pain free again. we do tend to take our frustrations out on the ones closest to us.

Do come on anytime, i find it helps me, we are all going through the same thing one way or another.

Take care x

Hi all, I too have the feet problem and have had a bad year with feet and knees. It spoiled my holidays as in the heat they swell more anyway. Mine are all out of shape and I have special insoles. At the moment they are uncomfortable too. RA is a terrible relentless disease sometimes!!!!I hope it all eases up for you soon.

rhona, i have lupus/ra. I was fitted for insoles by a podiatrist. They help a bit but not as much as i'd hoped. Hot and cold compresses seem to help a lot, The podiatrist said i had swelling beneath my feet. I've also got bunions. I'm not sure if i need stronger drugs.

I do wish rheumatologists would pay more attention to feet. You can't get far if your feet hurt. It took me a few years to be referred to a podiatrist. And i was told if i needed new insoles, i would have get another referrel.

I have buy EEE fitting so they accomodate my bunions and insoles, but they are always too wide at the back.

I looked for years for comfortable shoes. There's a factory shop where i live that does wide fitting shoes, but the shoes were awful. I get them now from Fashion world. They do triple E fitting and flexible soles.

Hi Girls, I can believe it would spoil your holiday EM, it is a terrible disease, so cruel.
I must try the hot and cold compresses Linda, it might be worth asking about a change of drugs.
It is very hard getting something comfortable and decent looking, i spend most of the time in trainers or slippers, wish i could get them made to measure.
Good to hear you feel bit better Lorraine.
