I and 6 weeks in on my humira injections after failing enbrel and this is the 3 rd time been on mxt bloods etc been effected and have a lot of sore throats before anyways I have stared to feel really breathless and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this should I be worried? Today I have pain also in my chest nothing too sore but it's uncomfortable in a way I don't want to go to the dr as this is the best my pain has been since I was diagnosed 2 years ago, any advise would be great x

Hey Lynn,
Sorry to hear you're breathless, it must be very unpleasant and worrying. :(
I've not had those side effects, but I just did a quick google and found this:
http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/humira/breathlessness

says it is a side effect of humira (i forget which biologic you're on).
Says its alot more common in women, and more common the older you are. A total of 2.6% of people in the study reported breathlessness.

I guess prolly best to ring up your nurse specialist to ask about it.

Hmmm just looked at http://www.humira.com/ at the bottom of the front page it says to look out for breathlessness and to 'Call your doctor or get medical care right away if you develop any of the above symptoms.

Best of luck Lynn, let us know how it goes.

Chris

I saw my dr who says she thinks it is either a slight infection or pulled muscles but she said all my vitals checked out ok so wasn't too worried but if I et more breathless to go straight back. Thanks for all the info Chris and bsk
