Subject: feeling unwell again!

Hi all
Iv just been called back by my gp for further blood tests as problems showing up with my liver function though dont know what! I have been feeling more and more exhausted to the point of having to have a lie down after just climbing the stairs. I put it down to side effects of cimzia, steroids and co codamol but gp thinks it may be something else. Im wondering if it its because I have been taking co codamol for about 6 years every day. Im finding it really hard to cope at the moment as I have two young children to look after and to top it all off my knee gave way again coming downstairs and I have hurt my back on top of all my normal ra aches and pains. I manage to stick a smile on my face and get on with life but am finding it increasingly difficult. When people ask me how I am I just lie and say im fine as they dont want to hear about all my problems, does anyone else do thaty or is it just me?
Anyway hope everyone else is okay?
xx

Hi Kim, I had problems with certain high liver results, this before I was even on Mtx or Anti tnf. I went for a scan and more blood tests and they couldn't find anything so try not to get too worried about it. Have you talked to rheumy nurse?

I didn't do well on Cimzia myself, lots of infections but also joints not that good and am finding enbrel better. Have they suggested switching or have you only just started - sorry I can't remember!

Hi Kim, sorry you are feeling unwell. Try not to worry, as bsk said it may be anything untoward.
Yes I always say i'm fine, but it would help if you had someone to say to " actually to-day I feel awful" you will be surprised at how many people will gladly lend a hand. We do try to cope all by our selves, this is good to a certain point. There is nothing wrong with being honest and letting people help. I have learned there is a big difference in moaning and being full of self pity, to being honest and saying I could do with a bit of help.
Take Care and I hope your tests turn out positive xx

Hi BSK and Marlene
Thanks for your messages. I have had 5 doses of cimzia now (first two were double doses) so not sure if its that that is causing the problem. I dont have access to a rheumy nurse and not due to see my consultant for a month or so. Im actually quite happy that the gp is dealing with it as she listened to me properly and decided to go back to basics and test for everything to rule out things, Im seeing her next week for results, she even had me do an ecg test!
Marlene fortunately I have a very supportive husband who I do moan to and he helps out as much as he can. I am my own worst enemy as try to do too much myself and then get frustrated when I cant do it or end up in so much pain the next day I cant move!
Hope you are both keeping well xx

Hi Kim

It's probably going to pan out to be nothing, so try not to worry.

Hope everything returns to normal for you soon
