Subject: Hi Rhona and Davina just wondering how you both are?

Hi ladies,
Just wondering how you both are?
I get started on Humria in sept thank goodness.
My specialist has put me on the waiting list and in the meantime I asked him if he could give me something to keep me going I asked him to put me up to 30mg of mtx he said he could but that my doctor would be a bit twitchy so he suggested a steroid jab so settled for that.

Must admit I feel quite well since, will. get one each month until I start the Humira.

Have any of you ladies been on this drug and if so could you let me know how you got on with it.

Glad to hear that you feel quite well and going to start Humria. I hope it helps you.

I started Rituximab about a month ago but still waiting to see if it is going to work. I was on enbrel for 3 months but it didn't help.

I am just glad that they have options for us to try if one fails. Hopefully you will get on well with Humria. I was also getting steroids about once a month as well. Take care xx

Thanks for the reply.
I hope Rituximab helps you in some way and you are right at least we have other option,s open to us because to be honest I was finding it difficult for a long time there it was getting to the point were I had a poor quality of life my son was up to visit 1 day and I hardly had the energy to talk to him and as for my poor husband I did,nt even want to go out in the car as I just felt so tired but I am sure you know only to well what it is like to live with this disease.

But thank goodness thing,s have improved a good bit oh Rhona I hope these drug,s will help us at some stage.

Have you heard from Davina lately I do hope she is ok.
In the meantime look after yourself Deborah x

Hi Deborah, I know what you mean about a poor quality of life, it can be very difficult when you can't do the things you want to. I was feeling the same way as yourself, i had my daughter home from Spain a couple of months ago and i couldn't do a thing with her, we normally enjoy shopping etc but i could hardly get off the chair then. Thankfully i feel a bit better, although i did get 2 steroid injectons less than 3 weeks ago so not sure if its them or the rituximab that's helping.

Davina was on a couple of weeks ago but her little boy had been in hospital so think she has her hands full at the moment.
