Subject: Flare up
Hi everyone, im just wanting a bit of advice. I was diagnosed with RA 14 months ago i started taking sulfasalazine 12 months ago and once the medication kicked in ive felt fine (i'd forgot how it felt to feel normal again no aching or stiffness!)But the passed few weeks i have started with the problems again! I phoned the RA nurse to tell her i was having problems and she said the sulfasalazine was loosing effect and that i needed to up the sulfasalazine to 6 tablets a day (previously taking 4 a day) and introduce hydroxychloroquine to try settle things down. I wanted to know if anyone has had the same problem? I didnt realise this would happen. I feel so fed up with the pain and tiredness!
