Subject: achilles tendon
Hi all. Need advice. I have been having several bouts of tendonitis (or i think it is). Its getting me down as I cant walk and walking is my only excercise. Twice I have been given antibiotics and treated for cellulitis but I dont think it is that. I do the ice treatment and rest but any amount of walking and back to square one.

Hi Tilly, Have you tried massaging that area with a warm oil, whether its olive oil or other...every evening give legs and feet a good going over, working on the tender parts but don't press too hard, than if you can warm up a towel and wrap around your lower legs and feet, close your eyes and relax, feel the pain leaving your feet...try it for 2 weeks and see if it makes any difference...x

Hi Tilly, I get this quite a lot too. The main thing that has helped me are stretches given to my by my physio. I can't recommend enough going to a physio for help (your GP will refer you if you need this, though going private would be quicker) good luck!
