Hi...I'm not sure about this and I'm kind of new to it all. I'm eighteen. I've had various medical difficulties in my life from a hip disorder to cancer. I have arthirits in my hips because of the disorder but it's not bad and after months of scans and x rays I was told today I have an unrelated case of osteoarthritis in my elbow. They aren't sure why it's there and they said it shouldn't be but I guess I just wondered what it was like and do you get used to it or anything?

hi Fay dont know why you would get it starting up in your elbow , there is somethings you can take to help it like glucosamine sulphate & fish oils (cold liver oil or omega 3) it may settle down taking them & hope it does hope it feels better soon

Hi Fay, sorry to hear you have osteoarthritis in your elbow. This is exactly where my OA started but I was in my thirties. Colin is right try the Glucosamine and fish oil capsules. They can be costly but if you go to a Sainsbury's pharmacy they sell all supplements and they are much cheaper than the health shops. You will get used to it try not to overwork the elbow and when it hurts rest it up. Hot water bottle is great for the pain. Take Care and like Colin I wish you well.
