Subject: rituximab

hi all i just nipped on here to shout about rituximab ....omg i can not believe it i tried allsorts of treatment for my RA nothing worked i was in a right state at the age of 30 untill i had this my last dose was dec took about 6 weeks to work but as soon as it started working ive been 90% pain free ..ok i still have the odd bad day but no where near as bad as before.....

I a so happy right now and if you go on the personal stories bit at the top u will see exactly how i felt before it started working ...

See guys there is hope out there and if u are the right canidate for this treatment 100% i would say go for it !!!

Im so glad you shared this with us. it does give me hope. I been suffering for so long and the RA got worse when I hit age 30.

Hi Kelly, I am so pleased for you and thank you for sharing this good news. It is good to hear positive stories. I have r/a and suffering quite a bit at the moment, i had been on enbrel for 3 months but just stopped it as it wasn't helping. I am waiting now to see what my next course of treatment will be. take care and stay pain free xx

Hi Kelly
please that its helped you , got to see rhumy next week to change treatment , was on enbrel & had bad reaction to it , not sure which they will try , maybe Infliximab or Rituximab

have you had any side effects with it , here some good things about the drug + bit of negitive but please its helping you

Glad to know you're feeling well on it! I'm on it too and think it's brilliant! Only drawback for me is that over this winter I have caught quite a few colds and have had to be on and off my methotrexate so I do get a little creaky now and then. Roll on the summer!

sorry for the late reply colin ....its wonderful i really do not have nothing negative to say about it at all.
Its what suits you best just finding the one that does ...liane for some strange reason i never ever get ill ie colds and bugs ect i havent had a cold in three years ...yes roll on summer cant wait to feel that warm sun on my bones :0)
