Subject: ESA CHANGES
sorry to give bad news but i am fuming and so upset, don't know what i am going to do. i will loss nearly £400 a month and my partner doesn't earn that much to cover my £695 mortgage every month, xx so here it is People not in the Support Group will receive contribution-based Employment Support Allowance for 365 days. People whose contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance is expected to end may still be able to get income-related Employment and Support Allowance if they are entitled. People not in the Support Group who have already received contribution-based Employment Support Allowance for 365 days or more when this change is applied will have their benefit stopped immediately. For these people the last day benefit will be paid will be 30 April 2012. They will be contacted from the end of February with more information about what will happen to their claim. The special contribution conditions that allow people aged between 16 and 20 (or under 25 if in education or training at least 3 months immediately before turning 20) to receive contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance without paying National Insurance contributions will, it is expected, no longer be available for new claimants. This means that once this becomes law, all new claims for contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance will need to satisfy the usual contribution conditions. the link for more info http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/DG_201237
