Subject: Good to Know there are others out there!
I was diagnosed a couple of years ago but actually had arthritis for some time prior to that. At the moment I feel a bit alone as it is getting more painful and there really is no one to talk to about it. I do gardening for a living and am determined not to give that up until I really have to. It is better to keep the joints working even if it is hard at times. Hopefully we might get a summer this year and that may help! It is good to know there are so many others out there to share this with.

Hi Zena I am just recently diagnosed and really finding this forum helpful and knowing there are others out there with it. Yes I think it could be lonely at times and when I say I have RA have had the "Oh I have got a bit of arthritis". Well actually I have got a bit of the wear and tear in the shoulder and it is nothing like it. Sorry don't mean to be dismissive of Osteo as can imagine when a jojnt is really damaged OA it must be incredibly painful, the one in my shoulder is just an ache. I am a school cleaner so same as you determined to try and carry on. I think it is just nice when you want to talk about it ie offload you can on here, and hear hear to a good summer.

I wish I had found this website sooner. It took me 9 years to stumble across it as it never occurred to me that there'd be an arthritis forum out there. It is really good to have a chat with fellow sufferers now and then. Bring on the sun!
