Subject: sero-negative arthritis

Hi there I have been diagnosed with sero-negative inflammatory arthritis. The pain is mostly in my feet and hands. I am 25 and am really struggling to cope at the moment, have been on various medications since september last year. I am currently on 3g sulphursalizine per day, plaquenil and losec and prednisone, whenever I get below 12mg of prednisone I flare up. I am finding the fatigue the hardest to deal with. Does anyone have any advice? Please.

I was diagnoised with sero negative a few weeks ago after being told it was osteo for a few years, my hands feet and wrist are by far the worst affected in fact am waiting for an op on my wrist now, then my toes will be done as well, I've been told its form of rhumatoid thats doesn't show up on blood tests so if anyones bloods come back ok ask about it being sero negative, the constant pain is debilitating and makes me so very tired, give in to it and have forty winks it refreshes me even if its only a 10 minute shut eye ,

Eight years ago I was diagnosed with Palindromic Rheumatism. All my blood results and x-rays are so far, normal but I have visual changes to my joints. I had an MRI about three years ago and then my dx was changed to Sero-neg Inflamm. Arthritis. Mine's mostly in my hands, wrists and feet but can sometimes roam to other areas. I've been taking Plaquenil for 18 months.
I struggle with the fatigue too. Over the years I have learned to do what my body tells me...trying not to over-do things. If I feel tired I'll just go for a sleep even if it's in the middle of the day.
