I disagree and I think the people that dismiss any kind of natural cure are the ones that give false hope. There is very little money to be made by the big drug companies in CURING Arthritis compared the money that can be made simply treating the symptoms for the life of a patient. I've used herbs such as Cat's Claw which helped greatly.

hi dee we are not saying it doesn't help some people but its not cured. if people choose to take supliments well its their choice, as i and others have said in other posts it may stop the pain but where is your barrier to stop the arthritis degrading the bones?
i am a person that as dismissed a natural cure because 99% out of 100 are only doing it to for money. and also i don't want to take something that is a lie. i'm glad natural theropies have helped you but i bet if you stopped taking it your arthritis would come back which is not cured then, is it!

There's a huge amount of money to be made in curing arthritis! The drug companies could charge a lot for a drug that would and there is research going into it but it is very expensive. I have read on one arthritis website that some of the newer drugs for inflammatory arthritis are being trial to find out if they to continue to work even after patients have stopped taking them for a period of time. This is early days but hopeful for those of us with RA etc.

I also think there is a difference between natural remedies helping symptoms and so called cures as Davina says. A cure is a very different thing from relief of symptoms - 'helping greatly' is NOT a cure, though I am glad to read you feel herbs help you.

We have talked and talked on this forum about remedies for Arthritis People choose to do whatever they feel is right for them and rightly so, but is it a cure??? No!!!! We all are fully aware at this present time there is no cure but heres hoping in the future something will be found. People ask so often is there a cure and I personally would never try to tell them there is. There are many things to try to help aliviate the pain, which one is best for whom is just trial and error. I have had OA for more years than I care to remember, so I would never give anyone false hope. Just my view. Take Care X
