Subject: Finally some understanding

Hello one and all!
Im Abi im 22, i had JRA as a child, at the age of 7 i was given the all clear :)
last year i began to feel achey in the mornings and found it difficult to walk, i have now been told my JRA is back and active in 7 joints at a rapid rate, i find it so hard to talk to people as they assume RA is something that only happens to older people (stigma!!) so im just looking to speak to some people who share the condtion and dont look me like im different!!

Hi Abi, i know what you are saying people think any arthritis is for old people I have OA and have had this condition from my 30s hardly old.
Plenty of the guys on here are young also. You are not different at all. Just another one of us who have to deal with pain every day. Remember that fact that you deal with it makes you strong mentaly and physicaly. You Take Care best wishes and remember when you want to ask something or even just want a bit of support we are all here for you.
