Subject: Anti TNF's HUMIRA

Hi everyone,

I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 8 yrs now, and nothing has worked apart from steroids. I had a reaction to all disease modifying drugs.
Now they have organised me to go on HUMIRA injections, believe me I am petrified to go ahead with this. It appears there is a lot of people on the forum who have had problems with it?

Is there anyone who have not encountered side effects from this injection?
I am desperate for feedback regarding this TNF drug. I am petrified of injections, how do you all cope with these injections every two weeks when you are so petrified?

I am waiting for them to contact me,to arrange a date for the nurse to come out and show me how to do it. I can honestly say I am apprehensive about going along with it that is for sure. I am so fed up with side effects it's doing my head in. I will keep you posted with what I do and how I get on....

Hi , there is several anti-tnf drugs to try even if you dont get on with this one , they are well worth it when you find one that works , not sure why you dont get on with methotrexate but it would help if you could take it

That's another worry of mine I've read that the anti tnfs work best with methotrexate or another dmard so because I can't take these is it not going to work fully.

I took Cimzia without methotrexate and it worked very well for me. Couldn't take the mtx as well as got a lot of infections when I was on it. Sadly, same with Cimzia so switching over to Enbrel. So, not necessarily the case.

i used to take humira - i stopped because of the side effects, but thats maybe just me - what i wanted to tell you is that giving yourself the injections really isn't that bad,i was terrified to begin with and my husband had to give them to me but he was worried about hurting me and i think that made it worse! in the end i decided to do it myself and i found that actually its ok - i used to inject the humira in my stomach and methotrexate in my leg - as long as you do it in a different place every time its fine - the thought of it is far worse than the actual doing it, its honestly no worse than pricking your finger - im a real coward if i can do it anyone can!! please dont worry, take care and good luck i hope it works for you x

hi,
I got cured from arthritis in a natural way by a book from an american doctor. He claims that no drug will help you. Not goldinjections or silverinjections. The only way of getting cured is: to change your food and add vitamines to your bones. I woke up some 20 years ago with a terrible pain and swollen joints on my right ringfinger and the same toe on my right foot. My doctor told me: you have arthritis. First question: is it curable? Answer: no. Second question: can you do something about the pain? Answer: some cortisone and some painkillers. I thanked him dearly because i know what cortisone did to my mom. I start looking after some information about arthritis. I found me a book from an american doctor: name arthritis (cured in a natural way). That was really something for me. So i start this kind of diet (changed my food totally) and i got cured in SEVEN days. The problem is: when i tell people that i got cured from arthritis: they don't believe me. Secondly if the know what they have to do for it: they quit lol. Their reaction: ohhhh if i can't smoke, if i can't drink alcohol or softdrinks, if i can't eat my favorite sweets, chips, hotdogs, pastry.... etc. etc. than it is not necessary for me!!!! Ok then you stay with your pain. This doctor says: you get arthritis from the dirt in your food which your body can't manage (as there are: additives, colors, all kind of chemicals). If your body can't manage this dirt it will store it on your joints, they got inflammated and yes: you have arthritis. If you want to get cured you have to avoid to eat this kind of chemicals. So in fact you can't eat anything out of a can, a box, a bottle..... nothing that is made in a factory. You can eat everything as long it is fresh and without chemicals as much as possible. Only living food. As there are: meat as clear as possible (don't bake it to long otherwise it is dead food as well) same for fish, vegeatables. Eat a lot of fruit. Normally no bread as well because it is baken at 300 degrees. So all the vitamins are gone. I ate bread out of a natural store. Change your sugar by honey. Butter is normally a natural product as well. You have to take some vitamines for your bones. As there are: beeryeist (not bakeryyeist). Molasses (the restproduct of cane-sugar)and omega3 or fishoil. Warm up a little glass fresh milk a little bit (not to hot). Add a soupspone of beeryeist and molasses (molasses is pretty sticky that's why the milk has to be warm). If you want it more sweet put some honey (it's natural) to it. This you do three times a day. The fishoil of omega3 only one pill or one soupspoon (too much is not healthy for your liver). So this way of eating together with the vitamines cured me in SEVEN days. Afterworse i did this cure for another three months. Then i start adding the kind of food which i like. Belgian french fries. After some time i didn't have any problem. Then chocolates, pitta, pizza etc. all in a timerange of several months. Novadays i eat pretty dirty. As long as my body can take it: no problem. If i get arthritis again I KNOW WHAT TO DO. This doctor cured a woman (with photos in his book) who had hands like claws from arthritis. He cured her. Then she ate a few bars of chocolate and her hands were claws again. So in this chocolates there is a stuff which her body couldn't manage. I could only cure two people who want to go for it. One had arthritis all over her body. It took her SIX weeks before she got cured. She cried when she thanked me. The other one had arthritis in her hands (same as me) by eating too much from some cheese. So i thank God for let me find this book. Go for it: IT IS WORTH TRYING. (some forums don't allow to tell names of doctors). If it is possible i will tell. May God bless you all. If there are any mistake in my english forgive me. I speak and write four languages. Robbie

Yep it is an incredible story. Well it was not easy to give up all the nice food which i loved so much! In the end you have to make a choice. It is this method or pain. The doctor wrot in his book: there is no cure for arthritis by normal medication. When i went to my doctor after three months for a visit, he asked me smiling: how is your arthritis? I told him: i don't have this anymore! You had to see his face lol!!! Totally in disbelieve!!! He asked me: what did you do? So i told him. You know what he said? I DO THIS DURING ALL MY LIFE!!!!!!! Remember: cortisone and painkillers. I never went to this doctor again! I take already 7 years tahitian noni juice. It took away my bloodsugar, my sinusitis, my tenniselbows and it gives me an happier life!! Regards Robbie

Thanks for sharing your experience robbie, I think its very worth while to think about diet and arthritis, there seems to be some link with the gut and joints as 80% of immnue system is based in the gut so any food intruder's would make the immnue system alert in the gut and react with joint tissue and for some reason antibodies are produced.... BUT we don't know why this happens??

All i can say is god help us and we help our selves!

Thanx for the reply suz. Well what can i say? Yes i only had the swollen and the pain in my finger and toe. What would happen if i didn't found this book? Probably i would have arthritis all over my body! I only want to help. If people don't want to try, no problem. If i would be in such kind of a situation i would try everything that is possible. Besides it's a diet without any drugs. The name of the doctor is: Giraud Campbell.
Regards Robbie

Robbierainbow, have you forgotton the rules of this forum NO ADVERTISING. I would suggest to anyone to do a lot of research before paying for anything. It is clearly known we can help ourselves in many ways but a cure I think not.
