Subject: What does any one do about the flu jab?

Hi,

Is any one having this jab this year? Has any one had any bad side effects from it, I am getting mixed messages, my friends with immune illnesses like lupus and arthritis have all said it has made them very ill and doctors have told them not to have it again, yet I keep being told to go and have it done. What does any one think?

Any advice would be fab, I really can't afford to be very ill like my friends were with the injection as my son is now 9 mths old and my husband and I both have arthritis and rely on one another sharing the load. Equally maybe I should have it, arrrghhhhh don't know what to do pls help.

hi i had this question and most people say its better to have it than not.
the pros out weight the cons so for me i would rather have the jab then have to deal with more illnesses during the winter.

i had the flu jab last year and appart from feeling a bit more tired than usual for a few days i didnt get any side effects.
And didnt get flu or even a cold and my husband had flu so bad he was in bed for weeks.

For me it is definetly worth it, side effects or no side effects :) x

The flu jab is unlikely to cause you any problems had mine and i am fine.I have been having this for the last eight years. My advice is go and get it done.

Just had mine today, actually remembered to mention it to GP at an ordinary appt... he said I'll do it now and before I knew there was the needle in out and done:) So hopefully no flu this year:)

Well done LOL. Takes a few seconds well worth it!!! Hubby got his done to-day £8 at sainsbury's, he usually gets it done at GPs but this year for some reason they told him he has to wait until Novemeber, a bit late in the year, so we opted to pay. Take care X

Ok I shall give it a go, I feel more convinced now as I was leaning towards going for it. All so confusing isn't it when there is always a lot of conflicting info about every thing nowadays.

Thanks guys,

Hiya
I know what you mean i'be heard that many scare stories about ppl having nasty side affects.
On the positive side though my son has it every year suffering from asthma, and i had mine 3 days ago and neither of us have had any side effects.

Love
