Subject: Blood results
Hi Just wondered if anyone else rings for blood results monthly? I like the results as have just started hydroxy as well, I rang & the secretary told me that I dont need to ring, that they will contact me if they need to. I explained that I had been doing it for the past months since starting and she gave me them but it made me wonder if anyone likes to keep an eye on their levels?

I can understand you like to keep your eye on the ball. Karen you you should be informed if there is a problem. Take my advice Hon if you feel better about ringing then you do just that!!!! I always ask how long for results and then ring, just in case it slips through the net, we have to look out for ourselves. You take care!

I have to say I got less interested after a while because if I had anything at all they were on the phone to me the next day. Are you on methotrexate? If so, you should have a special booklet and the nurse is supposed to write them down in it (to be shown to the pharmacist I think.) Mine never did but I did ask for a print out periodically.

I ring the next day without fail and also get them sent to me. Never been a problem. If you want to know your results, you damn well ask for them!
