Subject: saw rummy nurse today....

and my naff rummy has finally retired! yey! they have a new rummy and a locum/ stand in while the change over is taking place.
The nurse had a good look at my joints in my hands, elbows, knees ect and she could see swelling so ive been given a kenaloge steroid injection (not sure of spelling) so hopefully this will help. I also told her i wanted a refferal to ocupational therapist so shes getting that sorted for me and i said i was interested in sulphazaline, so shes given me info on that and is going to speak to rummy, think i would have had it sorted today but unfortunetly the consultant wasnt in.
Also yesterday i started anti depresants, because my moods have been all over the place and nothing seems good...ive also got fibro so think its possible related to that aswell. Im going to see the CPN nurse to help my depression and to help me deal with the constant pain. In general ive had a very positive but hard couple of days. Adding to the family is definetly on hold for a while untill im in more control of the RA and Fibro. The rummy nurse said today that DMARDS can make conceving difficult so even when i do reach that point it could take a while. In a way im a bit cross about that because if they have the potential to do that i should have been told before i ever started mtx. but never mind, i know more now and im sure there will always be something new to learn.
hope everyones having a good week xxx
