Subject: Two arthritic parents to an 8mth old, help out there!

Hi,

I am saddened that in this day and age that the being two disabled parents (both hubby and I have arthritis,I have Juvenile arthritis since 15 mths old and he has Psoriatic arthritis since aged 20) can be such a lonely and isolating experience. So little help or info is available by big parent groups or professionals, even simple things such as what car seats available on the market, are easy to use for arthritic hands, easy to use cots and where to get them adapted for you etc. So I have set up my own blog which although in its infancy is going to have reviews of high street baby equipment that any one is welcome to join in, I also give tips on finding easy popper clothes or better still velcro clothes! It is a place to share feelings, normal parental experience but with others who understand what it is like to be a disabled parent. Please take a look at the blog,I enclose a link,my husband and I just can not keep watching disabled parents stuck in the same limbo we were, the number of times we read "is there a car seat available that is easy to manage?!". Well now there is help available. Its time to become an established big voice of ideas, help, reviews, rather than waiting for big parent organisations to take initiative, the notion of disability and parenthood is still quite new I feel despite it being 2011! Enjoy and if anyone needs any help or advice privately please contact me on cee77@blueyonder.co.uk. I'll do my best to discuss your personal requirements etc and help you come up with suggestions.
