Hi, have you tried the Clean9 from FLP? I lost 8lb in 9 days, but you still have high energy levels due to the Aloe Vera, which also helps with the arthritis at the same time. I swere by Aloe Vera since it helped my mums arthritis so well.

can you swim? i never get the chance to get to the pool often but i find going and just floating around on days im in loads of pain helps, and on better days doing a few gentle lengths. Altho i have to say its the tempreture of the pool which can be the worst (ours is freezing!)
also gentle walking.
Diet wise, i managed to loose a little bit a few months ago by cutting out bread, anything which was processed and i cut the portions to very small ones. hope thats of some help x

Thank you for your comments Kirst, appreciate them,
I looked up Clean9 and its just another detox program for around £100 wish, unless I see evidence that it works I wouldn't waste my money.

Hi, Re your diet you should try and follow the Celiac diet, its meant to be good for arthritis suffers. I try and eat gluten free products as much as I can and my weight has stayed steady.

Hi. Have always battled with my weight but has slowly been going down even though have RA. I agree with bsk, weight watchers, and I also cut out wheat and buy gluton free as much as able. I don't like all gluton free products but for me the pasta is very similar to ordinary pasta. Tesco has the best range of these products although most shops have some. Afraid I am unable to exercise and can only walk short distances so can't help there, sorry.

Hi There. I suffer from very bad arthritis a s a result of serious sport injuries and also feel I have inherited some issues . I have tried all types of medical interventions over the years but firmly believe that diet and supplementation are the key to improving your plight.

HI, I have the same prblem, keeping off the extra pounds,it's a bit tricky if you are not able to gad about because of the pains, which have a mind of there own for the most, but a suggestion fromme doc, boiled rice instead of potatoes,(but I love me chips to much)so I just have a curry now and then,so I can still eat what I like, and have few rice meals in between,so enjoying it all,the chocolate is my worst downfall, but I get there,as for exercise, keep it to the gentle stuff,as you could split your differance and make thigs worse with the pain,I was at physio a few years ago, it did help, but my pains did get in the way a bit,but you cope.....SOMEHOW......how are you on swimming,if you can, that is brill,if you are not scared of water and can swim, the pain disappears till you get out of the water.....................hmmm sorry I talk to much, hope you mind gill

i so know how you feel, would love to actively try and lose weight, exercise has always been the key for me, but now with the pain i find myself arguing with my exercise DVDs cos i cant do what they do!I guess it is just do what you can and swimming is about the best i have found, but again in a cycle cos i dont want to wear a swimming costume cos i feel too fat but if i dont then i cant swim!
