Subject: anyone have this?
Sorry for all my questions, I am a worryguts i guess lol... I wondered if anyone has this symptom that I have experienced for the last 3 weeks now. My MCP joints are swollen but above that up to my middle knuckles on fingers they are also swollen and sore, yet the actual middle knuckles above them feel ok.
Is this normal? And also just above my wrist on outer side on both sides of hands, it is swollen too, it comes right ut like a raised lump. I do seem to get alot pain along edge of wrists where bone is and up from that and also I only get pins needles/numbness in the 3rd and 4th finger along on both hands.

that sounds similar to what i have - the ot told me i had carpel tunnel in my left hand and i get the pins and needles on both hands - really annoying. I got splints for my hands - not really sure how they help though. Have you been referred to an occupational therapist?

I haven't been reffered to a OT yet, I have to go back in September for what my rheumy said would be a ''group diagnosis'', as I am not officially diagnosed yet, but she strongly suspects Rheumatoid arthritis. I have been diagnosed with polyarthritis and oestoarthritis of hands, feet and spine.
Can you get carpal tunnel with rheumatoid or is it a seperate condition?

i am not sure julie, maybe it is helped brought on by ra - i have osteoarthritis in my kness but it has been completely exacerbated by ra. you are certainly going through it at the minute - hope you get some answers soon

Its similar to what I have and I think I have a compressed nerve in my elbow as the ulner nerve controlls the last 2 fingers on both hands. Both my fingers on both hands go numb all through-out the day Theyre sending me for nerve conduction tests. My knuckles also show according to first rhumy some arthritis but unsure till results of 2 opinion bone scan
