Subject: Stopping my Meds
Im a 29 year old woman and have had Psoriatic Arthiritis for 4 years, I have been on 15MG of methotrexate injections since September 2010 and have now decided to stop so i can hopefully become pregnant sometime next year. Does anyone know how long it will take for the pain to start again and how long i should really wait for methotrexate to get out of my system before i try for a baby? Thanks Guys, Kelly x

ive just done exactly the same thing. I was on 20mg injectoins MTX for RA, Im on my 3rd week without the injection. i stopped for side effects but have decided to try for a baby rather than go onto something else. Ive been advised to wait 6 months before trying but some people are advised 3 months. I would check with your Rummy just to make sure. Im sticking with the 6 month thing so that i can have compleate peace of mind that something wont go wrong because of the drug. In terms of pain ive been getting an increase of pain in my hands but i know i can have a steroid injection when i say the word. And for the time being i can take painkillers as usual. x
