Subject: steroids
my Doctor perscribed a weeks course of streroids for RA took one & felt sick very tired & 'out of it'. Is this a common reaction, does it go if you carry on with the tablets?

Hi Poppy.
I`m on 10mg prednisolone daily and I haven`t had those symptoms. Could they be interacting with something else you`re taking?

I take 30mg day and now starting to reduce over a 12 week period by 5mg week. I too have not had any of those symptoms. Maybe it is worth talking to your doctor as it may be something that will pass or it could be that they don't suit you. Take care xx

I feel a combination of exhaustion and 'buzziness' on steroids. They do make me feel very odd but check with your gp if you are worried.

thanks for your messages. I am seeing r.a nurse tomorrow, she says maybe try steroid injection instead.
