Subject: Back to physio

finished with the hydro pool now back to my physio. Not looking forward to it, we just seem to clash a bit, i cant bare rudness she doesnt have a problem dishing it out. Well i keep telling myself only 6 sessions, i am in lots of pain so the first question will be "why are you in pain". Let me think now!!!!! i can be sarcastic as the next but she always seems to throw me off guard. I must say out of all my rhumy guys this is the only one with no bedside manner. The last time she was going to send my consultant a letter telling him how he has got it all wrong. Good luck with that then. I thought MRI and CT scans were the ultimate in finding your problems. Sorry about that moan as you can tell really tensed up about the looming appointment. Take Care one and all X

marlene its not good when some professionals believe they know better than the person suffering. So i hope it goes well. Like you i have got a great rheumatology team and the added bonus of a fantastic GP. She actually called me in to go throught the DLA form with her! But i too have an impending appointment with the physio so i will await with baited breath.

Not all physios are like my one. I had physio after my spinal surgery and i cant tell you how lovely and caring they were. I was never expected to push my self just slowly but surely. The physio guy at the hydro pool also was great. I was hoping maybe she may have left or moved. No such luck. Oh well gritted teeth. I have to go i need to try to elivate some of the pain its such a nuisance at the moment. Pain meds upped again. Take Care Mads x

Went to physio today, well it seemed to be more positive, she agreed physio is not for me. Trying to get me more hydro therapy, but says it unlikely as it is expensive. Also told me to push my GP for pain managment clinic, she explained they are better at giving the right pain meds. Also loads of support for mental attitude towards the arthritis, and all of its affects on homelife. They can get me more hydro therapy without any problems. So I will definately be talking to my GP as he just skirted around my rhumy guys request for this. This is solely because in my area the GP has to pay for the treatment and not my hospital. I wonder if it was a freind or family member of theirs would the whos paying for it come into the discussion?? I think not. Well when ive had talks with my GP next week i will let you know what the outcome is. Take care all x
