I know it says dont drink on this medication etc etc and normally I have drank on it and had no problems what so ever. I have never drank though on Tramadol so am unsure if im able to have even 1 drink. Sadly I bought some non-alcohol/low alcohol wheat beer which is less than 0.5% a bottle and was wondering does anyone have experiences of a bit of alcohol? Ive drank plenty on sulphasalazine and co-codamol but never with the sulphasalzine and tramadol

Lee be carefull taking alchohol with tramadol. Read the pamphlet that came with them. I take Tramacet and was advised by my GP not to drink with them. The two drugs are closely related.PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK.

Thats why I was very concerned. The two beers I got say non alcoholic on them and are small bottles but there is a minute percentage which is less than 0.4% which for foreign beers class as non alcoholic. where as a normal pint of beer ranges from 4% upwards. My favourite tipple is Kwak and thats 9% so thats a def no go. I have found a 0% beer called Bavaria Premium Non-alcoholic Malt (0.0%)but have no idea what this tastes like Ive asked the dr to confirm if 0.4% which do much as i think some of it is pyschological now that im waiting for something to happen. Ive not had any alcohol in over 6 months now

i went out on my hen night and drank rather a lot last weekend and have the occasional bottle of beer, or small glass of wine. I take paracetamol, tramadol, nefopam and methotrexate. I can say for me, as long as it isnt all of the time or drinking lots then it should be ok. A little of what you enjoy in moderation should be fine.

I love these posts - i too keep thinking i am an alki as well, cos all i do is think i would love a glass of wine/ two. Only indulged once in the last 4 months and felt really guilt ridden but when the sun comes out the yearning could be come too much, i would be the on the same medication as you kirst without the nefopam....not an informative post - just wanted to join the conversation.
