Subject: Pain management and a few other questions
Has any one been to pain management therapy. If you have what is it and is it helpful? Saw my rhumy guy to-day asked me if i would like to go???? He is writing to my GP as he feels i am not getting enough support from them. I feel bad as i dont know if i agree, im not sure what else can be done for me. OA is not curable as we all know. I have pain meds. Physio and hydropool. What else is there? My rhumy guy told me to-day as and when replacements may be necessary to joints OH GREAT!!!!!!! I am looking on the web for the paraffin wax for my hands. Does this help??? My visit to rhumy has confused me a little, so much info in one sitting. I am a little bit fed up to-night so sorry if this post is a bit of a ramble. Verdict on my back surgery after bone scan is that it is OA on op site that is causing so much pain. Now i wonder was the op worth it. Im not sure it was. Take care one and all.

Hello Marlene, Its horrible when you feel fed up but your consultant really seems to be on the ball. Can't help regarding pain clinic though - eh what is a pain clinic? I am so ignorant! That is alot to take on regarding the replacements. Hope you feel a bit better today when it has all has sank in a bit more.
