hi hope everyone is well and sorry not been on for a while. just wondering from all you that are on embrel or another injection form, have you had any bad heads? after each injection i have experienced a headache which lasts about 3 days this has happened twice after each injection. Also after my latest on tuesday i have got what seams like an allergic reaction. it is on the injection site and 1 inch round, and very red, sore and warm. i have an anti-allergy cream and been using it for 2 days with no improvement. Anyone else or any advice would be great, do i take my next injection on tuesday or wait. thanks davina

i sometimes get headaches the day after which can last a while. got them all the time when i started with the meds. as for the rash...go get the doc to look at it because if its sore there is cream which will get rid of the soreness almost streight away. I got it from the doc for heat rash and it cooled me down really quick. its worth a try :) hope you get sorted soon x

Hi there. I've never taken your meds, but I get the same reaction to another type of medication. About 5 minutes after injection I get an instant migraine. The doctors have advised me not to take it and to list it as an allergy. I think you should ring your rheumy and get some medical advice. I mean, it might just be a very common side effect or something like that. But then at least your mind would be at peace in taking it.

Hwyl. Yeah, i;m on Enbrel. No side effects to date (touch wood) - It seems to working well for me too. I'm very happy with it. I would suggest talking to your specialist about the headaches - I would cont taking it, it may subside as your body gets used to the drug. All the best.

Hi Davina I've been on Embrel for just over a year - had injection site flare ups for the first 3 months but now hardly anything. No headaches for me, but worth talking to your rhumey about it - they might just change you to another TNF eg humira. As long as the headaches aren't debilitating its important to keep taking it though- it took about 5 weeks for mine to kick in and the relief has been good.

Hi Jonny, Trina has kindly agreed that I can post on here to ask whether anyone is willing/able to take part in some market research. We will pay £250 cash to participants to cover all expenses. The research will take the form of a face to face interview next week and relates to a new injection device (you wouldn't be required to inject yourself during the interview). We are looking for people self-injecting with a minimum of 3 months experience. Anyone wishing to take part must be using one of the following: Enbrel Humira Methotrexate We are particularly interested in anyone aged over 60 or those with severe RA in their hands (but certainly wouldn't exclude any others if they meet the main criteria). If you are interested and able to travel to central London on the 6th, 7th or 8th of June please do get in touch. Please note that in certain instances we may be able to conduct the interview in your home or place of work if this is more convenient. For more information on our company (just so you know we are legit!), please visit www.creativemedicalresearch.com. Thanks, George george.ashford@creativemedicalresearch.com 01473 832325
