Like you I have heard a lot of good things about Omega 3 supplements. Especially that it is a natural anti inflammatory so good for RA. Good for the heart also. Have just started taking a liquid one so we can compare notes and see if there is any benefit!!! Anything is worth a go to help our condition.

There fine as long as you are not taking biologicals eg, mtx lef, sulph, Because the drugs are trying to suppress you immune system, and the omega3 are boosting it.

Well said Lynn. I can't tell you the number of people who tell me I should be taking supplements to boost my immune system (am on biologicals), even one doctor when I was on Mtx advised me to take Echinacea. I asked her whether she was aware that it is contra indicated in people taking Mtx! She wasn't. Unbelievable!

Hi Lynn, I'm ok ish. Started on Cimzia which seems to be working to some degree though the injections seem to produce great big lumps under my skin. Wonder if I'm doing something wrong!

I'm actually getting a bit bored with friends telling me of great new supplements they have discovered, or better ways of doing things. Let them be in my shoes for a bit.

How are you doing yourself?
xx

You do sound a bit down sally, glad the Cimzia is helping a bit, Have you asked the nurse or rheummy about the lumps sorry I dont know what that could be. I know how you feel about the friends who think they know better than you oh well just something else to put up with. I am not to bad at the moment hands, wrists, and elbows feel so much better, but my feet are starting to swell and both my ankles give in now and again. Just been told I have osteoarthritis and bursitis of the hips, have had an injection for the bursitis been to phisio and have to use a walking stick most of the time, other than that I am fine ha, ha, oh well If you dont laugh you will cry. You take care sally. xxx

Thank you Lynn and bsk for your comments about supplements. Hadn't really thought that it could be contra indicated with it being promoted as a natural anti inflammatory. Oh dear! I have been put on Hydroxychloroquine so I will stop taking the Omega 3 oil and give the new meds time to 'take hold' without taking anything else. Thanks again for the info :-)
