Subject: Calcium and Vitamin D

Hi! I have to take Calcium and Vitamin D for Osteopenia (probably caused by the steroids I have been taking for the last ten months!). Does anyone know if these supplements can be taken at the same time as Hydroxychloroquine?? I know some supplements stop the effectiveness of some drugs. Is there a 'best time' to take calcium/vit d? Would really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance :-)

hi Patricia, I am in the same position as you. I think you can take them whenever you like. I take mine, one in the morning and one with evening meal.

Thanks for replying bsk :-) I have been taking my calcium tablets, together with my evening meal and Hydroxy, but have read somewhere recently that the body can only 'take' so much calcium at one time so thanks for that. I will starting taking mine separately. I sooooo wish we didn't have to take all this stuff but we would be in a bit of a state without it. I am in enough of a state with it all!!! Thanks again.
