Hi there. I would ask them to refer you to an Orthotic Dept where they can help with special insoles etc.

No that was not my experience sandra. I had to see the person in the Orthotic dept first and he tried lots of different inserts before he gave me them. However things have changed [ and not for the better I'm afraid ] ie I have had to wait about 4 months from me asking for another Orthotic ankle brace as the one I have now is tattered and torn and is not as effective. I finally got the appointment though last week. Before I could just ring up the Orthopedic doctor and he gave me a prescription for a new one. I fear A LOT of things like this are going to change in the NHS.

Hi kayjay i agree things will change massivly for the nhs because of budget cut from our lovely goverment most will be forced to work to the 13 week rule i am off work sick have been since nov awaiting assesment for biological treatent and will have to wait another 9 weeks for even my first assesment. Im just happy that i'm not waiting for my first ever appointment the thought of waiting for 13 weeks when this disease stars would have been unbearable
