Subject: osteoarthritis
10 years ago I had a hip replacement at age of 46, after being told twice that I had just pulled a ligament. Now I need a knee replacement, but the con sultant wants to leave it longer. I also have pains in my back, shoulder, neck, opposita knee and hip, feet, hands , wrists and elbows. I am trying to cope without pain killers as they do not agree with me.(dihydrocodene, amitriptaline)Also for at least the last 12 years I have been hot (cant put socks on, but dont need them),everyone else in coats, me in a tshirt, is this part of the arthritis? I am 57, made redundant and cannot seem to find work. Life has fallen to pieces. Is there a support group in North Tyneside?

Hi jenna sorry to hear you are suffering honey have you tried contacting PALS at your local hosp or primary care trust for suuport group details failing that your local citizens advice may have some details. I would have thought there would be something in a city the size of newcastle x
