Subject: Raynauds Syndrome ????

I have just come back from the Podiatrist and she noticed that my toes were very cold and light blue. I've had this for ages but just thought I was nesh [ up t'North that means cold all the time ] however I can get extremely cold toes and feet in the heighth of summer as well !!I've mentioned my cold feet problem to the Rheumie loads of times but they never really comment or seem concerned about it.

The Pod said it could be Raynauds Syndrome - anyone else have this please ???

Hi Kayjay

I have this, only since having my ra though.

It was very bad at one point & when I saw the consultant, I mentioned it as it was stopping me from taking my dog out etc, she prescribed nifedipine, which lowers your blood pressure which really helps, if you remember to take them!

Can be very painful, even the best gloves dont help, I got the best in the shop, at £30 was a bit upset they didnt work but the pills seem to!

Thanks Karen. I only get this problem in my feet and toes and have to use a heated Lavender / Wheat bag - even when I'm hot everywhere else !! Glad to hear the meds work for you ;0)
