Hi Kylee I tend to do whatever it takes to make it easier to get through the day, I don't think you can be completely pain free on some days when the disease is particularly active. I started off on Diclofenic 3 times a day and for some reason I don't go over this one, then added Gabapentin 3 times a day - sometimes have 4 or 5, Tramadol 3 times a day - again sometimes have 4 or 5 then I take lorazapam some nights to stop my brain from working overtime thinking about all the things I should have done today! I'm now experimenting with some amatriptaline (spelling) as I have some left over from when I had shingles. I've taken 20mg before bed, along with all the others above (except the lorazapam) and slept through for the first time in ages. But felt very sleepy the next day so I won't be doing that too often............ Sometimes I feel a bit woozy and know I've taken too much tramadol - I think thats the one to keep an eye on.......especially if you drive, which I don't....... Bit of a rambling reply but I hope it helps! Lisa

Hi kylee, I think if everyone is honest there are quite a few people who take cannabis wether it be to smoke,or in a cake or brownie quite a few people have, and do still take it, or you can have it in your tea. As far as I know whatever gets you through the night...... take care. x

hi kylee. for me, after having RA for 41 yrs, i figure only you know how much pain meds your body needs. you do what you gotta do, but i will also add, if your taking more pain meds more than usual you might talk to your doc about a different one as your body can become immuned after being on one for a good length of time. be careful now and take care, dolly
