you have something wrong, if its just an injury or similar & not your ra? I have a problem with my elbow, have had it before being diagnosed, in either elbow but only ever one at a time & have had it a couple of times since, I cant fully straighten it & if I let it fall by my side by mistake, I am in immense pain. It isnt swollen or hot, painkillers & anti inflams dont help, just ease it... Gp keeps telling me to use balmosa cream, fat lot of good that is!

hi Karen, sometimes pain in the elbow is referred pain from the shoulder. I had something similar myself and it was agony. Ask for an ultrasound scan to get a proper diagnosis. Bsk

Hi all My elbow joint doesnt actually hurt, it feels like a tendon or a muscle as I have no pain apart from when extend it further than is comfortable & then I get a very sharp, extrememly painful searing pain which reduces me to tears. I have tried a hot pack but it doesnt seem to do anything. Its been here for a week now which is longer than usual but I think I just pulled it again & Im sure it had started to ease. I hate not knowing if its my ra or something else, will go see my rheumy nurse if it goes on for much longer!
