Subject: sound familiar?

Hi I have just discovered this forum and thinks it is fantastic, you all must do a brilliant job in supporting each other. At present I am awaiting results from bloodtests for RA.
I have cracking bones all the time, I am like an old lady getting out of bed in the mornings I am soo stiff and the cracking is just awful. I havehad trouble in my knee, which has been swelling a lot and was told it was due to my weight I am a size 18. Since the knee trouble my hands occasionally become stiff my knees, back hands legs etc all ache and the pain can go from one place to the other in just a handful of minutes. I am tired all the time and just generally feel exhausted. My friens and family think Im exagerating things but this really frustartes me. Do any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone else at all?

Hi mosschops, I have PA which they say can mimic RA so I think all the symptoms you describe certainly sound familiar, Dont let them fob you off by saying its your weight! I think as soon as you get a proper diagnosis and put on the right meds you will start to feel a bit better, let us know how you get on. take care.

PA is psoriatic arthritis some people with the skin disease psoriasis end up with the arthritis, some are mild and only get it in a few joints (fingers and toes) some people get it in the odd large joint and some get it in every joint. It also attacks the feet, some have ankalosing spondylitis spelling is awful sorry, some people are very disabled with it.
Thsts why its very important to get a proper diagnosis of your arthritis so you can be put on the right meds as soon as possible

Perhaps it's fibro or palindromic arthritis ??? either way it can take a while to diagnose which doesn't help you right now.

Sorry you are in pain & nothing is helping, perhaps you should try some heavier pain relief together with some anti-inflammatories ???

Good luck though ,, hope you get a dx soon.
