Its hard you try not to go on about how much pain you are in but if you dont no-one believes you,the trouble for me is they are not at all sympathetic where i work,i would tell them i couldnt walk much and they would still make me run up and down stairs after customers,im sort of stuck in limbo not knowing who to ask advice fromx

i know what you mean katknapp, what can we do as we have to earn money,as if we havent got enough to deal with having RA without the added stress,we do have stools at work but everytime i sit down to work even for a minute my boss find me something else to do,i feel like i dont get any support,i dont mind working hard and dont expect their sympathy but a little compassion on extra bad days would be nice sometimes x

I gave up work in Feb as the stress of trying to cope with the twenty balls I was used to keeping in the air pre-diagnosis was making me even more ill. I thought everything would settle down to normality once I gave up working but in a way its worse. I feel guilty, useless, lazy, lost, oh boy I could go on and on with the list. My husband is an absolute star - in fact he is the only reason I am still here, without him I don't think I would see any point. My consultant is recommending Infliximab infusions now as methatrexate, lefluomide and hydroxacloraquinine (excuse spellings)aren't doing the trick and to make matters worse my hairs is falling out. So back to your question - manage to work? God, I just about manage to stay sane. x

Thanks KayJay

I can't believe how lucky I am either and I wouldn't swop him for the world. When I met him through work I decided there and then I would marry him! It took 12 months for him to realise I actually fancied him (low self esteem or what!) then we went on our first date to Madrid for a weekend and have been together ever since (8 years).

When we got together I was a bit of a babe, sex, drugs n rock & roll sort of thing, full of life and up for any adventure going and now.....well I have RA..........but what I haven't lost and will never loose is my sense of humour and no matter how bad I am feeling we can still have a giggle about something - even if its about the RA itself!!!

But your message really reminded me how important it is to let him know how special he is so Thank-you

Big hugs
xxx
