hi i have tried mxt and leflumide and they didnt work for me so today i have been put on sulz something is anyone else on this and is it any better then mxt at the minute i can hardly walk my body hurts from top to bottom thanks

Hi Kazzie - I started on methatrexate then they added sulfasalazine which helped for a while then my body seemed to get used to that so they added hydroxachloraquinine (spelling!). When that didn't have much affect and I was still having steriod injections they stopped the sulfa and started me on leflunomide (spelling again!). Yesterday, after breaking down in my consultation and listing all the problems I am still having and my inflamation markers showing as through the roof they have stopped the methatrexate and are preparing me for Infliximab infusions, but still keeping me on the others! So, long story short (not!) - you will hopefully see some benefits from the sulfa for a while once it kicks in - but for how long is anyone's guess
