Subject: can anyone help please

I have a 29 mpnth old daughter who had a few days of night fevers, then woke up on Monday morning saying she couldnt walk :(
We were in the hospital and told she had suspected HSP? but I am sure it is juvenile arthritis-she has only anaged 10 steps today and has been in constant pain when moving and being touched.
She has a pink rash, and they checked her for meningitis, any ideas any one, I am beside myself x

You should be guided by the Paediatricians they are the experts. In my opinion seeking possible diagnosis' from the internet is not the best way to go. If you are not happy with what you are being told request a second opinion. I am sorry that you and your daughter are going through such a bad time at the moment and wish her a speedy recovery.

I totally agree with louise.Im so sorry that you are both suffering but the peadiatrician is train to help you daughter Im sure they would have taken bloods from her to see if she has infections. I hope for you daughter sake its not Juvenile Arthritis its a life time of suffering good luck and do ask for a second opinion if your not happy with the result

I'm with Louise and Caroline. Do ask for another opinion if you disagree with your paediatrician.Remember some things can take time to diagnose. I know that is especially difficult when it's your child.

hey

definately get a second opinion and just dont give up till your confident she has been properly diagnosed, i was diagnosed at 16 months old, i was at the point where i couldnt walk at all and would cry when ever i was carried, nappies where changed or changing clothes but my mother still had to fight tooth and nail before they would take it seriously!!

good luck and all the best for your daughter.
