Subject: New Drug psoriatic arthritis

Hi guys, I would just like to let you know I started a drug trial today for the psoriasis, and psoriatic Arthritis. The trial will last for 2yrs It is an injection once every 4 weeks, for 12 weeks, and then once every 12 weeks for up to 2yrs. It has had brilliant results in Canada, and Europe. From what I have been told It can stop the disease in its tracks.
I had my first injection today!!! So fingers crossed please and wish me luck, I will keep you all informed on how I get on. Take Care. x

hi Lynn, lucky you! I hope it goes well hun! Do you mind if I ask about the psoriasis part of the arthritis? I'm getting dry and flakey skin in my eyebrows and other parts of my face. Thought it was a dermatitis but it disappeared on Methotrexate which I have stopped for 2 months now. Does that sound like psoriasis to you? I am sero-ve and it would help to have a positive diagnosis of some sort as it helps with choice of drug treatment I gather.
thanks hun xx

Hi Sally, how you doing? I have had psoriasis since I was thirteen months old, so I have had it for 53yrs. Yes I also have it in my eyebrows dry and flakey, and most of my body.
I have been on mtx for just on 11 months now, and I noticed after 3 months my Poriasis started to clear up, I had to stop mtx because of a bad throat infection and it started to come back, but since I have been back on the mtx it is clearing again. Maybe you should see your doctor again and ask him. It cant hurt to ask sally at least you will know one way or the other.T.C.xx
