Hi Kristine, I am way past the menopause but I have exactly what you have. Unfortunately I have no answer for you as I dont know what causes it. I hope someone here can help. I just wanted to let you know you are not alone with this. I have made a pattern and find the temperatures and sweats and coldness is usually around taking the MTX. Apart from that I hope we can find an answer. Take care Rose

Hi Kirstine
My Mum had similar symptoms and it turned out her thyroid was underactive, it might be worth mentioning to your GP.

Hi I have the same thing I am also past the menopause, started early because of hysterectomy when I was 34. It starts early evening gets worse through the night, and eases of mid morning. Have had my thyroid function checked it came back ok. Maybe it is the mtxt? T. C.

Hi Kirstine

I get the same thing as you and have to change my sheets constantly. I reckon its down to the Arthritis though as I usually get it before I have a flare up. I haven't had it for a while since I have been on the steroids though so I really do reckon its down to the Arthritis and our body's way of coping. I will ask my Rhemy about it as have appointment in a couple of weeks.

Maybe we will loose a few pounds with the sweating ha ha just kidding!

Hope it doesn't last too long for you.

Rach

Hi all, I just want to add to my earlier post that I also had an early menopause due to hysterectomy at 40. I have also had my thyroid checked and it too came back negative. Rach hope to hear from you after you talk to your Rheumy. Thanks that would be great I dont see mine for four months.

Hi Kirstine, I am crashing your post here and i do apologise. Hope you (and me) can get some answers. Take care hope you are well Rose
