Subject: Tested for arthritis?

Hi, I have back pain and have recently been tested for arthritis with a blood test which came back negative. Funny that because I had an x ray years ago that confirmed I did have arthritis. Currently confused! Can anyone offer an explanation? Thanks. Mike

Thanks Abbie, So I could have arthritis. I have also been tested for spondilitis and have been advised I am geneticically unlikely to contract it. Does this make sense? Please also advise what other tests should be carried out to determine if have other forms of arthritis? Mike

most likely Seronegative Arthritis, does not show up in blood tests.
I had this at 33 then after 4 years my arthritis went crazy and became positive in my blood tests.

Have a search on Seronegative Arthritis on the interweb.

Best regards

Paul
