Hey Shannon - How old are you?? I am 25 now but got rheumatoid arthritis when I was 21. I have been through the whole of uni with it - and you do get out the other side!!! I am now in my final yr at vet school. Let me know whatever questions you have got n if you want to email me instead of asking on here you are more than welcome. I remember how scared and lonely i was initially - keep your chin up Kxx

Hello Shannon Please ask your Mum to come on to this forum instead of yourself. I notice already that someone is asking you to email directly to them, I really think that this is inappropriate given your age. It may be a safer option to take a look at the young people's forum on the arthritis care website, this site is very well moderated and may afford you some protection from internet 'creeps'. http://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=fe10f5f57997052cb380d0ea6c3bd5bd

hi shannon i agree with louise dont email anyone the whole idea is that everyone can give you support and advice and theres nothing private about it, i had arthris from an early age so all of us can help you through it, im now 54 and had 3 children, so dont be scared it isnt easy but you can get through life but maybe abit different. lots of hugs
