Subject: Any guys in their 30's or 40's with RA/Fibro?
Hi, I am 40 (only just though!!) and wondered if there are any other guys out there with RA/Fibro? I was diagnosed 6 years ago. I have two young children who I adore, but sometimes find it hard to keep going! No offence to anyone else, have been to several support groups etc, but not found many others in my age group and family situation. Although the support the groups bring are fantastic of course.

Hi Eugene, I was diagnosed last year with RA and FM. I was 40. I agree totally about how to keep up with children. I have 5 but 3 teenagers left at home. You must find it even harder with little ones! Up to now I have not found a support group other than the online one like this fab one, and the fibromyalgia association one. Wish I could find one close to where I live. (((hugs)))

Hi Eugene, I was early 40's when diagnosed, now late 40's. Have RA/PA. Don't post on here much, but nice to here how other guy's are coping as most arthritis forum's I've posted on are nearly all woman. Not that that's a bad thing before anyone has a go. :)

Hi, Thanks for your replies, good to hear from you. Me and my wife have been discussing for quite sometime about trying to set up a local(ish!) social group for us sufferers with young families, not just as a support for us, but for the rest of the family too.
