Hi guys, Have any of you been referred to a nutritionist on the NHS to help with RA? Been looking into going to see one privately but would rather go NHS if this service is available. Just looking to get advice on diet changes and perhaps have alergy testings done. Cheers guys Kaz

I went privately, it was very interesting and a lot of it all linked up and was common to RA but I have zero will power and find it difficult to stick to all the recommendations given to me lol !!

I can't give you any hints re UK based anything but I can help with what food etc you should watch out for .. My Dr works hand in hand with a naturopath & nutritionist -- the first thing anyone suffering from an arthritic problem has to do is agree to go onto a food regime the nutritionist has developed, then get tested by the naturopath to see what bacteria you have in your system & what you are allergic to .. that's before you start on any medications .. If you want a copy of my diet regime I can email it to you ?? I am not trying to interfere, just help !

Maz, Why don't you copy and paste your diet regime onto the forum so more people can take a look.

I am on a regime after having a food intolerence test done privately. It cost £25 for the appointment. I am intolerant to all meat apart from chicken, wheat, dairy products, and mushrooms.I have RA. Up until two weeks ago, I also took msm, magnesium, vit c, evening primrose oil, fish oil and black strap molasses. I would be on it all now because I felt real good but my blood show such high inflammation even though I dont feel ill at all, so I have gone back on the MTX to see if that will get it down.
