kevin have you actually applied for DLA ? I struggle to walk due to OA in my ankle - have to wear an Orthotic ankle brace and use a stick. When I applied for DLA I was refused the 1st time. I went to the Citizens Advice Bureau and they helped me with the form then I got it. Once I got that I went to the city council and they gave me the blue badge for parking [ even though I can't drive ] I can still use it when my son takes me out in his car. I also got a disabled bus pass - the only info I provided to them was a letter from my GP. I'm on Plaquenil as well [ but wasn't when I got DAL this was pre diagnosis of RA ] - I should go to your nearest CAB office if I were you.

I think it varies in all areas. In my area you need to have high rate mobility to get a blue badge. Even though I can't walk more than 50- 75metres and that's with a stick I don't have one.

Hi Abbie, on the government's website it says OT or Physio can recommend one too. Can't remember which one but am sure if you google it you will find it.
